About DDE-2019
The Directorate of Distance Education (formerly known as Institute of Correspondence Education) was established on 3rd March 1976 in the University of Jammu. The University of Jammu was established in 1969 vide Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir (established in 1948). With the establishment of Directorate of Distance Education, the University of Jammu within 7 years of its establishment became a dual mode university from a conventional University.
The Directorate of Distance Education is located in the main New Campus of the University which houses the Teaching Departments, Centres, Administration Block, Examination Wing, College Development Council,....

Eligibility
Graduation must be fully passed i.e All Semesters All Papers. However Apearing/Reappered Students may also give Entrance Test but at the time of Admission Form (July-2019), their Graduation must be passed in all semesters.
M.A. English:-
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern with English Literature as an elective Subject.
OR
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any other discipline with 60% marks.
M.A. Hindi:-
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern with Hindi as an elective subject.
OR
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any other discipline with 60% marks
M.A. Dogri:-
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any stream
M.A. Urdu:-
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern with Urdu or Persian or Arabic as an elective subject or honours in Urdu.
OR
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any other discipline with 60 marks.
M.A Sociology:-
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern with Sociology as an elective subject.OR
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any other discipline with 60 marks.
M.A Economics:-
(i) Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern with Economics as an elective subject;
(ii) - Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern with any of the allied subject of
Social Sciences securing at least 50% of marks;
(iii) - Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any other discipline with 60% marks.
M.A Political Science:-
(i) simple pass in BA with Political Science;
(ii) BA with 50% any ONE of the Social Science Subjects (Public Administration, Public Policy, History,
Economics, Anthropology, Psychology, Education, Sociology, Social Work, Philosophy);
(iii) 60% marks with other subjects in BA and other
Graduation such as B.Sc., B.Com., B.E., B.Tech., BCA, BBA, LLB, etc.
M.COM:-
Graduation (B.Com) under 10+2+3 pattern. OR
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any other discipline with 60% marks OR
Graduation with PGDBM securing at least 50% marks.
PGDBM:-
Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline.

Admission Form
After the Decleration of 6th Sem Examination Result, Online Admission Form will be Filled, in Which Students Enters their Graduation total Marks and Also Choose PG Courses.
